It has 11 height adjustments to accommodate almost any mattress size. It also has adjustable folding feet that ensure it sits exactly at the right level.

In terms of safety the cot is cushioned and comes with mesh sides for increased ventilation, while its mattress is made of high-density foam for extra protection. It's also washable so that you can keep it clean, and it is fitted with a sheet that's suitable for use with the cot.

Contrary to other cribs that are bedside like the Roomie Glide is suitable for the majority of beds, including divans, thanks to its straps and clip attachment. It can also be used as a stand-alone crib when not attached to your bed and it's packed with features specifically designed with the bonding between parents and babies in mind.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee bedside crib is designed to give you an uninterrupted night's sleep. It has a drop-side rail that is able to be easily adjusted to feed your child in the evening without disturbing them or forcing them out of bed. This is great for mothers who breastfeed! It's also lightweight, making it easy to move around the house during nap time and when traveling.

It's made of soft materials and features breathable mesh sides to promote airflow. It comes in oak or charcoal with various melange fabrics that can be incorporated with all styles of decor. Anna found that it was solid and secure when it was attached to her bed. The legs slid into place and the zippers were secured for security. It took her about 10 minutes to assemble and did not require tools, and comes with clear instructions and a video or customer support number available if you encounter any issues.

Alongside the usual features you'd expect from a crib that is bedside, like being able to attach to your existing bed using a stay-in-place connection system and six levels of height The CoZee also comes with an additional incline option which can be used to help aid congestion or reflux in infants. It can also be washed in the machine essential for all the dribbles, vomit, and snot that accompany a new baby!

The CoZee is an excellent choice if you want to keep your child close during the first six months of acquiring the ability to sleep independently. It can be used as a crib, changing station or toddler bed. It can be turned into a sofa bed with the addition of an extension pack. It isn't able to feed your baby, or magically make them sleep, it will rock them until they go off!

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of Chicco's more expensive models, but it comes with a lot of features. It can be used as either a side-sleeper or a standalone crib that is suitable for babies from birth to six months. It's easy to open and close the side panel using a brand new mechanism. It is also more adjustable than its predecessor, having 11 different height settings and retractable legs for a secure place under any bed.

Our testers loved the ease of access to the side panel, which can be flipped up and down at the touch of the button. This was a huge help during feeding times at night because it meant they could reach into and pick up their baby without disturbing them.

The side panel can be lowered on its own however it isn't advised as it increases the risk of your child falling out of the cot. However, the safety locking mechanism ensures that it will only remain in place when it is attached to the parent's bed correctly. This is a great feature to have for peace of mind, particularly if you're breastfeeding and require frequent feedings at night.


The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to work with any bed that includes divan bases as well as beds with drawers due to the legs that telescopic. It also has tilting functions to help babies who are refluxy and a rocking feature to soothe them back to sleep after eating. It's also extremely large and offers excellent ventilation due to its mesh sides.

Our test participants found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, although it comes with an extensive instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than other side-sleepers, however, it is easily moved from one room to another. It's also able to fold up into its travel bag which is a great option for those who want to transport it. The only drawback our testers found was that the side panel didn't move like some of the other models, making it difficult to observe your child from your bed.

The Shnuggle Air

If you're in search of a crib for your bed that will expand with your child then the Shnuggle Air is definitely worth a look. It's a co-sleeping crib that can be attached securely to your bed and can be transformed into a stylish cot when your baby is old enough. Perfect for nighttime feedings and enhancing the bond between you and your baby's new.

The Shnuggle Air crib is designed to breathe, not like other cribs. The dual-view mesh side panels and airflow mattress that is hypoallergenic and breathable increase airflow and keep your baby cool and comfortable. A gentle incline option helps to ease colic and reflux and colic, while the zip-down side makes it easy to feed or soothe your baby during the night.

The cot conversion kit (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear instructions and everything you require to start. It took us about an hour to complete and was surprisingly simple. The only drawback was the absence of written captions on some of the pictures which made it difficult to comprehend certain steps. Overall, the process was simple and the materials used were of high quality.

In the co-sleeping mode, we found the Shnuggle Air to be an excellent option for breastfeeding mothers and women who have had a C-section, since it allows them to comfortably reach out to their infant for comfort and feeding without having to climb out of their bed. It's also great for parents who prefer not to go through the stress of getting into and out of a traditional cot or placing their child down to sleep.

The gliding motion was found to be very beneficial in lulling babies to sleep following feedings at midday or night. The drop-down side can also be easily accessible to feed or soothe babies in the middle of the night and was a major selling point for our exhausted test moms. Although it doesn't rock, or have extra features, like an audio system, the Joie Roomie Glide's sleek design and functionality are a welcome addition our top bedside crib reviews.
